The TV presenter had a wobbly start to the day after his ear pierce failed to work as he was about to present an important news segment.
Good Morning Britain had just appeared back on screens following the weather report when the blunder occurred.
As footage of the latest suspected terror attack in North London showed on screen, Piers was heard moaning about his ear piece.
He was heard saying: “I still can’t hear anyone in my bloody ear, I don’t know what is going on with this.”

He then appeared to slam the show’s production team as he raged: “It’s been like that for a week now.”
But things didn’t improve as the credit music rolled awkwardly on as Piers was heard asking: “is someone talking? I’m not hearing anyone!”
After a very awkward moment of nothing but the background music, Piers them composed himself and started reading the autocue.
Unfortunately he started reading before the camera had panned back to him and the music died down.
But is wasn’t just piers who was unprepared at that moment.
As the camera zoomed out, his co-host Susanna Reid was seen slipping back into her seat and had evidently not been ready when the camera began rolling.

But ever the professional, she too got straight back into the swing of things and carried on with the show.
Watching the show, Good Morning Britain viewer’s couldn’t help but pick up on Piers’ rant.
“And now @piersmorgan is swearing on TV this morning – “bloody ear” #hothead #GMB,” tweeted one person.
While another commented: “I think someone needs to sort out @piersmorgan ear piece ‘it’s been over a bloody week’ #GMBfail #GMB.”

A third said: “Maybe Piers Morgan needs to switch ON his earpiece and listen to his producers about not belittling people and allowing them to speak. #GMB”
With another adding: “The #Awkward moment @piersmorgan shouts at the @GMB team coz he can’t hear in his ‘bloody’ ear for ‘weeks’ live on air Language Morgan #GMB.”
Piers’ on screen meltdown came ahead of a clash with Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadan Foundation, who accused the journalist of using defamatory language when talking about the North London terror attack at a mosque.
As the two presenters spoke to the guests, Mohammed said during the conversation: “There are a number of media commentators, and with respect to Piers for example, he has really got to look at his language where we saw in the aftermath of the London attack.
“Just reflect on your language, I’m not saying no one should be saying what they’re saying, but lets just be calmer. Let’s look for language that brings people together.”
However, Piers was left enraged by this comment and retorted: “Hang on?! Let me stop you there.

“You’re going to accuse me of using defamatory language, all I have ever said, all I have said after these terrorist attacks are I think it’s incumbent on the wider Muslim communities to route out any extremism in their midst. This morning, after this attack on Muslims, I have used the exact same language in the exact same way to urge the communities with these white extremists who want to do harm to Muslims and treat them exactly the same way.”
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays from 6am on ITV.
