Love Island 2017: What the cast including Jess Shears, Camilla Thurlow and Amber Davies eat during the ITV2 show

Tyne-Lexy became the second person to leave Love Island during the recoupling after Camilla Thurlow was picked by Jonny [ITV2]

Nothing seems to stay a secret for very long in the Love Island villa, given the amount of gossiping that goes on between contestants including Chloe Crowhurst, Amber Davies and Jess Shears.

There’s plenty of drama too, from newbie Mike Thalassitis ‘mugging off’ Chris Hughes by picking Olivia Attwood at the recoupling.

But sometimes it’s the smaller details that are really intriguing.

Like, what does the Love Island lingo really mean, what the stars aren’t allowed to take to the island and what really goes on behind the scenes.

Another interesting question that needs answering is – what food do the stars eat during their stay?

While they have five star facilities in the luxury resort, including the use of a swish outside kitchen the contestants, including re-coupled Camilla Thurlow and Jonny Mitchell, are actually pretty lucky.

They only have to prepare their breakfast every morning, and can help themselves to snacks.

The rest is sorted for them, so they don’t have to worry about lunch and dinner.

This must be to ensure they don’t waste their valuable flirting time on food prep, and gives the likes of Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies valuable ‘getting to know each other time’.

Last year’s contestant Cally Jane Beech has also revealed that the contestants can also make special requests.

She previously said: “Because you’ve got mics on all the time, if you run out of anything you can basically just shout it, like ‘can we have some eggs please?’, then they would appear in the stockroom in a couple of days.”

Tyne-Lexy Clarson was recently evicted from the villa after Jonny chose Camilla in the recoupling, sparking a fan frenzy that ‘Jamilla’ could still happen.
