EastEnders: Viewers were not impressed with Carmel Kazemi’s comments [BBC]
After telling little Lily that they were going to have a baby, Martin and Stacey decided it was time to let the blossoming secret out into the open and announced their pregnancy to the busy pub.
Calling everyone together, James Bye’s character said: “You all know what happened to our family last year but we got through that and we came out stronger. Being a dad is easily the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. We were hoping to hold onto this secret but you know how you can’t keep secrets around here…”
He never got to finish his sentence before an elated Stacey shouted “we’re having a baby!”
While the residents – who had gathered at the Queen Vic for Father’s Day – whooped and cheered, there was one person who seemed in less than celebratory spirits.

Carmel Kazemi was unimpressed with the family’s decision the extend their brood, alluding to how Stacey was affected after having Arthur.
She told her son: “Arthur’s still, young. He needs his mum and now there’s a good chance mums going to flip out again. It’s a risk Kush. A risk they didn’t need to take.”
EastEnders fans were quick to criticise the council worker for her “harsh” words.

Several users blasted Bonnie Langford’s character for being “jealous” of the young family and “bitter” about not seeing enough of her grandson.
