Shannen Doherty has called herself the ‘cancer slayer’ online [Instagram ]
But the 45 year old has been fighting back against her illness after starting radiotherapy last year.
Taking to Instagram, the incredible actress showed her fans that she was staying strong as she underwent the treatment.
Sharing a video of herself undertaking a dance class, Shannen explained to her fans that she felt it was important to keep moving.

“Radiation is tiring,” the charmed star wrote.
“It builds up within you and sometimes one just struggles to keep their eyes open.
“You can see how tired I am here but I’m still moving!!
“Any movement is so good during treatment, not just for the body, but for your mind as well. #cancerslayer @jammalibu @themamarosa.”

While in another snap, the actress posed alongside her radiotherapy machine in a hospital gown.
Leaning in and pretending to kiss the machine, the TV personality revealed that she had nicknamed the equipment “Maggie”.
“I’ve seen Maggie five days a week for what seems like forever,” the actress joked.
“We have a love hate relationship.

“I love her because she’s part of the life saving treatment I’m receiving. It’s astounding how far we have come with technology.
“One day, Maggie will be retired and the cure will be found. Things like immunotherapy are the future but for now…. it’s me and Maggie.
“I’m seeing her twice tomorrow so that I can wrap this phase up faster. Goodnight sweet Maggie. See ya tomorrow. #cancerslayer.”
And writing in the comments, Shannen’s fans had nothing but support for her positive outlook.

Shannon has always been vocal about her cancer experiences, previously revealing that sometimes she feels like she “isn’t going to make it”
“That passes. Sometimes the next day or 2 days later or 6 but it passes and movement is possible. Hope is possible,” the star wrote online.
