I am already hooked to the new series of Love Island! [Andy Barnes]
I’m in Spain at the moment on holiday with my friend and her little girl but I’ve been watching all the episodes of Love Island – I feel like the whole nation is hooked!
It’s really crazy seeing the new series, because it’s a new villa it’s not as difficult as I thought it was going to be but it’s still quite hard when I’m watching it because that’s where me and Nathan met. It’s nice that our baby’s going to be able to watch our series back.
I’m not sure about new layout in the bedroom – that’s where we had all the laughs at night and threw pillows and played pranks. The beds are very close to each other – they’re going to see everything!
I feel like everyone needs to relax, I watched the first couple of episode with [last year’s contestants] Rykard and Rachel and we just felt like this time last year we were getting to know each other and having fun but this year they’ve not integrated as much.
It’s crazy watching and knowing Nathan and I were in there a year ago [Wenn/ ITV]
They’re all taking it a bit too seriously and are wanting to get in a couple but it’s only the first week! Everyone’s nervous and I think the bombshells are going to really mix things up.
I think my situation last year was different because me and Nathan found each other right away whereas everyone this year is switching round, I don’t think I would have enjoyed that as much.
I’m a big fan of Marcel
I really like Marcel and he’s a bit older so he knows himself more. He’s not in there to play games and I think he is genuinely in there to find a nice person.
I hope he gets to stay in there long enough to get that opportunity because there’s got to be someone who wants a nice guy. He’s more of a man than a boy. He needs a strong woman but I think a lot of them are quite young and immature. Him and Montana have done the best thing coupling up as friends.
I think Marcel needs a strong woman to come into the villa [Wenn] I think Jess was right to take Dom – but I don’t think they’ll last
I don’t think Jess was out of order at all for stealing Dom from Montana. She had to pick someone and he was the only one she had a connection with. Obviously there was a spark and she did what she had to do. She couldn’t pick someone she didn’t like, they’d only been in there for 10 minutes, you can’t take dibs on someone.
I don’t see Jess and Dom going the distance though. I really like Jess, I think she’s amazing and I think everything on her part with Dom is totally honest. She’s really opening herself up and that’s scary but there’s something about Dom I can’t put my finger on it.
He was chucking round the term ‘power couple’ after like the second day with Montana and Jess. A little bit of me thinks he’s playing a game and just trying to get into a strong relationship because last year all the strong couples got into the final.
I really like Jess but there’s something about Dom I’m not sure of [ITV] The dynamics are so different this series
All of us from last year still talk and have WhatsApp chats and we’re all worried that they’re trying to recreate last year. Even with the series when you had Jon Clark and Hannah Elizabeth; all the strong couples get into the final but you can’t go in and force that.
Look at Rykard and Rachel, he walked off the show! I think you could tell last year that everyone’s intentions were to genuinely find someone. But I can guarantee not one person this year would do the same. If Jess went home there is no way Dom would walk out. Last year, if Nathan had gone, I would have walked.
It’s a totally different dynamic this year. I’ve seen all these tweets saying it’s not the same as last year, but it’s not going to be.
Kem needs to dump Amber
I think Kem needs to find someone else, he’s my favourite. I love him. He’s got a kind heart, he’s a bit like Nathan. He doesn’t need Amber.
Kem is my favourite! He’s a bit like Nathan [ITV]
I don’t think Kem needs Amber – I hope another girl comes in the house for him [ITV2]
After the pillow fight, I thought ‘seriously?’ It’s crazy, I know in there tensions are high and you can freak about the tiniest things but it’s a pillow! I’m sure she’s really lovely but I think she’s going to take advantage of Kem.
I think there’s a nice little girl for him that’s going to come in – Amber’s a bit too sure that she’s got him. She needs to be a bit nicer to him.
I loved the idea of them getting together, I thought they’d be my favourite couple, but as soon as pillow-gate happened I changed my mind.
I can’t wait to see what happens this week with new girls Gabby and Tyne-Lexy!
See you all back here next week,
