The character – played by Samia Ghadie – was handed a one year sentence for her sham marriage earlier this year, and in emotional scenes she explained to Liam why she had to go.
Explaining she had done something bad and had to go away, he questioned if she was going to prison.
She then gave him a snow globe to use when he wanted to be close to her.
And viewers were left in bits over the raw and emotional moment.

In real life, Samia – who married partner Sylvain Longchambon earlier this year – is simply taking some time away from the soap.
However, just as she leaves, she has revealed her 7-year-old daughter Freya now wants to join the cast.
She said recently: “She goes to a local musical theatre school on Thursdays and loves it. She is very dramatic.
“She is so much more confident than I was when I was her age.

“The other week she saw one of the girls from the casting department.
“She did a star shape with her arms and said: ‘I’m going to be in Corrie when I grow up!’ They said they didn’t doubt it.”
