Lena Dunham will be back for Girls season 6 in 2017 [HBO Girls]
Yesterday the trailer for the new — and final — series of Girls was released, and it’s put a twist on the HBO show as we know it.
Creator Lena Dunham will return as Hannah Horvath for series 6, alongside co-stars Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet as Marnie Michaels, Jessa Johansson and Shoshanna Shapiro respectively.
The sitcom first aired in 2012, and immediately became a hit with twenty-somethings everywhere who related to the post-uni — or college for American viewers — life the characters were getting to grips with.
And over the years, we’ve seen the foursome got through a lot, from break ups to weddings to some of the most awkward bedroom scenes possible…
But what does the new season have in store?
What did we learn from the Girls season 6 trailer?

The 40 second clip shows us a quick preview of what’s to come. Marnie seems to have made up with ex husband Desi, and Hannah doesn’t look to happy about it.
Meanwhile, Shosanna is “freaking out” and Jessa is getting along seemingly well with Adam, which makes a change too.
Hannah meanwhile looks lost as ever…
It teases that this season will be “their last chance, to get it almost right.”
