However, the 33-year-old actress – who has played Fiz Stape in the Manchester-based soap since 2001 – admitted that her stunt in the jungle has come as a HUGE sacrifice.
Jennie is having to leave her two-year-old son, Albert, and miss his third birthday – something that has been a big decision for her to consider.
Talking ahead of her appearance in the jungle, she said: “I had to really think about this because the biggest thing is leaving my little boy.

“It’s going to be his birthday whilst I am in the Jungle and I spend all my time with him when I am not working on Corrie.
“Leaving Albert when I first go into the camp will be my trial…it really will.”
However, Jennie is hoping the experience will challenge her and put her out of her comfort zone.

“I know Albert is going to have an amazing experience as he is coming to Australia with my husband and I. That will be lovely.
