Over the past few years, the show has taken a two week break in the lead up to the festive holidays.
However, it has now been revealed that fans of the Ramsay Street based drama will air for 52 weeks in 2018 meaning that it will continue to air just like the other soaps.
The news comes after it was confirmed that the Australian soap was remaining on Channel 5.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that the show was in jeopardy of disappearing from the TV schedules in the UK.

However, after fans launched a petition to stop it being dropped by Channel 5, Viacom signed another deal to keep it on TV.
Confirming the news in a statement obtained by the Huffington Post, Katie Keenan, VP Acquisitions, Channel 5 & VIMN UK, revealed: “I’m delighted ‘Neighbours’ will continue to air across the Channel 5 portfolio. ‘Neighbours’ is an important part of our schedule and is held in great affection by British viewers.
“For more than three decades, ‘Neighbours’ has been an unmissable daily drama and although Ramsay Street is on the other side of the world, the stories we tell have struck a chord in the hearts of the UK audience.”
Excited about broadcasting Neighbours all year round, executive producer Jason Herbison added: “I’m excited to keep delivering our worldwide viewers with their daily fix of Ramsay Street.

“Come the end of 2018 we will also make history by becoming the first Australian drama series to screen all year round. The best is yet to come,” he added.
Meanwhile, it has been speculated that new arrival Hamish Roche could turn sinister when a person from his past arrives.
