Strictly Come Dancing 2016: Laura Whitmore fights back tears after 'mistake' during Samba with Giovanni Pernice

The TV presenter was praised by the judges for her dance, but Laura and Giovanni fell out of sync during the performance.

Judge Len Goodman told Laura not to worry as she admitted she made a “mistake”, and she looked pretty disappointed with herself.

Len told her she was a “terrific” dancer during their Samba, while Bruno told her she did everything that was required of the dance.

Craig Revel Horwood admitted it was “awkward” at times, admitting some of the steps were not great before asking why Giovanni didn’t give her any solo parts.

While speaking to Claudia Winkleman, she became emotional as she said: “I feel really bad for messing that bit up.”

Giovanni and her fellow dancers comforted her telling her not to worry, while the judges gave her a score of 32.

Meanwhile, Ore Oduba wowed fans once again as he took on the Salsa with partner Joanne Clifton.

Judge Len Goodman admitted he was taking a look at the TV presenter’s bum, telling him his hips were “hypnotic”.

Last week there was concern that the star would leave the show after he took a tumble during his performance.

But Ore bounced back in week 7 of the ballroom competition, scoring 34 points from the judges.

Viewers were left amazed by Ore and Joanne’s powerful Salsa, with many fans calling it “spectacular”.

Craig Revel Horwood, who only scored Ore 6 last week, told him tonight: “Those lifts were absolutely brilliant.”

But he did criticise his lifts, saying they lacked the “figure of 8”.

Meanwhile, Len cheekily told him he couldn’t stop looking at his bum – but there was a reason from his!

Len was looking out for hip movement, and told him: “I had fun, it had flamboyance.”

Meanwhile, Darcey Bussell told him he needed to work more on his legs and have less “emphasis on his arms”.

Bruno Tonioli was also a huge fan, telling Ore: “You’ve definitely got the beat, you turn on the heat I’m telling you.”

The BBC Sports presenter – who is teamed with Joanne Clifton on the show – has become well known for his emotional reaction to praise and high scores on the show.

The presenter recently broke down on the show after he and dance partner Joanne Clifton performed a flawless Jive to Bruno Mars’ Runaway Baby.

And the judges agreed, with Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli awarding him the very first 10’s of the series!
