Brendan Cole, her dance partner on the show, also stepped in to defend her – coming to blows with Shirley.
He also clashed with judge Bruno Tonioli, who told him he should have more respect for Shirley.

Now, Charlotte is pulling out all the stops to ensure she gets the judges on side from now on.
Charlotte has previously confessed her daily schedule is full on now she has Strictly and GMB duties.
If her 3am alarm wasn’t exhausting enough, Charlotte was revealed to have still been in training at 9pm on Wednesday night.
Taking to Twitter, Charlotte confessed she was “wrecked” as she pulled off another day of rehearsals.

Brendan had shared a photo of them practising their latest routine, praising the TV presenter for her commitment.

Charlotte replied: “I’m a wreck @BrendanCole …. just still able to smile for the camera!”
Last week Charlotte and Brendan performed to Top Gun, with Shirley claiming their was too much “rise and fall” – with this dancing element not supposed to feature in a Tango.
