And now his partner Fadi Fawaz has spoken out after a hacker made false statements from his Twitter account yesterday. 

The celebrity hairdresser woke to find that a series of tweets had been posted claiming that the legendary singer’s death was suicide. 

And now the star has broken his silence to make it clear that he did not send the messages. 

“I am shocked with what’s going on with the Twitter thing,” the Australian told the Mirror.

“My Twitter account has been hacked and closed.

“It’s a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets.

“I woke up at 11.30am to the news. I am not going to worry about these things.”

The tweets, shared on New Year’s Day, claimed that George had killed himself after several attempts to take his own life.

The tweets said: “Not sure who that nasty close friend of George (sic) but i was in a relationship with George Michael till i found him dead in bed.

“The only thing George wanted is to DIE. 

“He tried numbers of times to kill himself many times and finally he managed.

“We loved each other very much and were together almost 24 hours a day.”

WHAM! star George died “peacefully at home” on December 25. 

Since then tributes for the pop icon have flooded in from family, friends and fans.

Taking to Twitter on Boxing Day, Fadi confirmed his partner’s death with a heartbreaking message.

“It’s a xmas I will never forget finding your partner dead peacefully in bed first thing in the morning..,(sic)” the star posted.

It was recently announced that a post-mortem carried out on the late singer had been ruled “inconclusive”  and that further tests would be carried out in order to determine the cause of death.
