Kieron Richardson and husband Carl [Channel 4]
The soap star legend, who plays Ste Hay on the popular Channel 4 programme, and husband Carl Hyland had their twins using a surrogate who had several rounds of IVF before she fell pregnant.
The pair were over the moon to welcome their twins on Monday 22 May 2017 – and Kieron has only just returned to the soap to reprise his much-loved role.
Speaking exclusively to OK! Online, Kieron Richardson explained just how rewarding parenting is – and hinted he could be expanding his brood sometime soon.

“It’s amazing,” he revealed. “I love it. I can’t find words to describe it, it’s just incredible, there’s nothing negative to say about it.
“Everyone says double trouble. Yeah you’re tired, but it’s magical. It’s all we have ever wanted – but we’ve not finished there. It’s definitely given us a big nudge to have more. We want a big family.”
And when asked if the tots would become Hollyoaks fans, Kieron added: “Hollyoaks is part of my night time routine with them. I bath them during the 6:30 show so we’re back down for the 7pm episode when they have their bottles.

“They don’t understand Hollyoaks at the moment, which is fine!”
When asked how the pair – who married in 2015 – are coping with parenting, Kieron added: “They’re nearly 5 months old now. The only difficult bit is the parent guilt.
“When you’re holding one the other one’s not with you so you’re like: ‘Give me 5 minutes with this one then I’ll give you the same attention’.

“You want to hold them both at the same time but it’s not safe to walk around, so you’re splitting time between both and you want to make sure it’s equal!”

Kieron has now returned to the soap, and explained the difficulty of leaving his newborn babies so soon.
“I’ve not really felt the pinch yet,” he revealed. “I’ve only just gone back properly, this week is the first week I have been away from them. It’s weird and so surreal!”
