And now it seems the duo are still as close as ever after they spent time together during the festive break.
Taking to Twitter, the former Countdown star shared a snap of the pair enjoying breakfast with the 31 year old’s family in Bristol.
Beaming from ear to ear, the stunning 56 year old can be seen sitting at the table with comedian and his Granny.

And it wasn’t long until fans of the show commented their approval at seeing their two favourites back together.

After the breakfast it seemed Carol and Joel had some time to themselves as they stepped outside for another selfie.
Grinning as they pressed their heads together, the couple seemed to be very much enjoying each other’s company.

Carol previously revealed to OK! Online that she had always planned to see Joel over the Christmas period.
But although the pair have certainly got chemistry, the presenter assured her fans that their relationship was only platonic.
Joel Dommett recently flirted up a storm with Loose Women’s Gloria Hunniford [ITV ]
“I’m going home for Christmas,” the mathematician said.
“It’s my birthday – I’m 56 on Christmas Eve, so I’ve got a party in Bristol on the 23rd, so Joel’s coming to that, and his mum! Nothing like that.”
