The Duchess of Cambridge attended her first public engagement since cancelling all appearances due to suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme form of morning sickness.
The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry attended the reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the contribution of those working in the UK’s mental health sector.

Kate opted for a gorgeous light blue gown with long lace sleeves that showed her tiny baby bump for the occasion, while she teamed the dress with a pair of dark high heels.
While many praised Kate for her stunning and glowing appearance at her first public appearance, others branded the Royal “too thin.”
Writing on Kensington Royal’s Instagram account, one social media user wrote: “I can’t believe she’s prego, she looks too thin.”

Others commented: “I thought she was pregnant!?” and: “She hardly looks preg!”
A fourth person wrote: “She’s so thin. I hope she’s doing better.”

The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.

“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
It continued: “As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.”
Prince William and Kate are already parents to little Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
