The decision has allegedly left them in a feud with the Queen, after her grandson revealed his pregnant wife was happier being a mother to their two children Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, instead of engaging in royal duties in the public eye.
“The 91-year-old monarch was livid that the future Queen of England would want to lessen her duties,” a source apparently told Life & Style magazine.
Adding: “He [William] told her Kate wants her public appearances kept to a minimum and he’s 100 per cent behind her. The conversation was quite icy.”

The reports come after Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, told Closer magazine Kate was determined to make her mum title as important as her royal one, and understandably so.
He told the publication: “Kate’s top priority is to her family, Kate will not allow royal engagements to impact the close relationship she has with her children.”
It’s not the first time the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have bent the rules for their family, the couple broke a 58 year old tradition when they announced they were expecting their third royal baby.
Kate and Wills will be the first royal couple in 58 years to have a third child, protocol says that those in line for the throne should only have two children.

The Queen herself has four children – Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward – but none of her children have gone on to have more than two.
Kate and Wills also switched things up with Prince George’s school, and opted to send him to Thomas’s Battersea, all previous royals before him have gone to single sex schools, but George’s is mixed.

Reports have also suggested they could be set to make another unusual decision when it comes to Prince George and the school he’ll go to after prep school.
A source told the Sunday Times: “The word on the street is that his parents want co-education and boarding when he leaves prep school.”
