Kate barely gave herself anytime off while pregnant with Prince George.
The Duchess of Cambridge continued to work right up until eight months pregnant with Prince George and returned to her royal duties just five weeks after giving birth, when he was just one month old.
Kate attended the Trooping of the Colours on June 15 2013 – which was her last appearance before giving birth – and returned on August 20 2013 for the Ring O’Fire Anglesey Costal Ultra Marathon in North Wales.

The Duchess of Cambridge followed suit with Princess Charlotte and worked until she was eight months pregnant.
Her last duty was on March 27 2015 with Prince William in South London.
However, this time, Kate gave herself more time off with her newborn and didn’t return to work until Princess Charlotte was four months old to attend the Anna Freud Centre in central London.

New royal baby
Kate is likely to work right up until she is eight months pregnant, like she did with both Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
However, the only royal engagement she currently has in the diary is a visit to the Action Addiction community-based treatment centre in Wickford on February 7 2018.
Unlike her four months off with Princess Charlotte, the Duchess of Cambridge will be spotted again in May 2018 just a month after giving birth for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

In the UK women must take at least two weeks off following the birth of their child.
Statutory maternity leave is 52 weeks, which is made up of 26 weeks of ordinary maternity leave and 26 weeks of additional maternity leave should you choose to take it.
