But fans slammed the picture saying it was “cringe” and desperate.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Olivia answered back to her critics.
“I don’t know why people don’t want to talk about condoms or safe sex, but they’re quite happy to watch us have sex on TV,” she said.

“Why shouldn’t we try and do something funny?
“At least it will get people used to it, and start talking about it.”
Alex added: “The people who were saying the hurtful things and taking the p**s out of us, they’re the ones not comfortable with themselves.
“They’re being really childish about it.”

Olivia said: “We’re not doing this for ourselves, not everything is constantly about us, we’re trying to do something nice.”
The 23 year old added that her parents were proud of her involvement in the safe sex campaign.
“My dad tweeted me saying that he was supporting me because we’re doing something to help young people feel okay with asking someone to put a condom on,” she said.
Alex added: “We’ve had sex on TV, they really didn’t care about a condom selfie.”
