Trauma kicked off on ITV on Sunday evening [ITV]
Doctor Foster creator Mike Bartlett’s new TV psychodrama, Trauma, started on Monday evening on ITV.
While on BBC Two at the exact same time, Carey Mulligan’s new gripping miniseries Collateral, kicked off too.
However, it wasn’t long until show watchers spotted that actor John Simm was acting in both of the dramas.
In Trauma, John plays grieving father Dan Bowker, while in Collateral the star has the character of David Mars.

However, viewers were left baffled about the actor appearing in two series at the exact same time.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared both their confusion and amusement over the overlap.
One person said: “Big fan of John Simm, great to see him back on TV but on separate channels at the same time? #Trauma #Collateral.”
